Pet-Friendly Yards that Sell
Posted on June 17, 2014
Let us face it, most long-term rentals on the Gulf Coast are usually not pet-friendly. Often this because man’s best friend has potential to become a landlord’s greatest foe. Liability issues coupled with scratched doors and pet odors tend to turn an owner off from the situation, but what about those animal lovers in need of a pet-friendly rental in Destin? While some are lucky and find that rare rental, others are left looking for real estate of their own.
This is great for sellers in the market to list their home. It is one more opportunity to make your home standout amongst the others. Granite countertops and stainless steel appliances are nice features, but an attractive outdoor space may sell a pet-owner even more. Unlike a variety of home upgrades, a few landscaping tweaks can cost less and still give your home an edge over the competition.
Some simple yard improvements include using pet-friendly fertilizer and plants while more in-depth projects include walkways to reduce dirt tracked into the home or even gravel or wood chips for garden bedding that will not get tangled into fur later.
