Seller’s Tips: Exterior Remodeling
Posted on January 24, 2014
If you’re considering some upgrades before you put your Northwest Florida home on the real estate market consider making those improvements outside. A new report shows improving your curb appeal may help your sale the most.
The 2014 Remodeling Cost vs Value report, recently released by Remodeling Magazine and REALTOR Magazine, states that exterior projects improve your resale value and are of the most importance to buyers.
This trend is in part due to the importance of making a good first impression with curb appeal. When a buyer first sets eyes on your home they make an immediate judgement based on what they see. This will set the tone for the showing as a whole. Also, exterior projects such as siding, doors, windows and decking are all preceived as high-dollar items that many homebuyers, especially first timers, do not want to tackle.
Don’t get us wrong; kitchen remodels and additions are also items sought after by buyers. Check out the complete list or consult Brad Shoults Real Estate about how to get the most bang for your buck before listing your Gulf Coast home for sale.
