Weekly To-Dos in Fort Walton Beach
Posted on August 5, 2015
Did you just recently move into a long-term rental in Fort Walton Beach? You may be wondering what there is to see and do in the area. During the summer season, enjoy weekly fireworks on Okaloosa Island. Venture over to the Fort Walton Beach Boardwalk and watch the sky light up every Wednesday night at 9:00 PM. The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island is located right next door to the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park, and it contains delicious restaurants like The Crab Trap and Floyd’s Shrimp House. Dine on savory, fresh seafood before watching the big show. The Boardwalk also contains beach shopping boutiques such as Islanders Surf Shop and Surfside Outfitters.
On the second Saturday of each month, visit the Fort Walton Beach Farmer’s Market. It is located at DeFrance Antiques and is a great place to grab a wide variety of locally-grown fruits, vegetables and jellies. You can also find hand-made soaps and other exciting items.
Be sure to check out The Movies at the Landing for some family-friendly fun on the Emerald Coast! A classic film will be presented by Downtown FWB at the Landing Park each Friday night until August 28, 2015. Set up some chairs or lounge on a cozy blanket and enjoy the movie.
All of these events are located just a short distance away from your Okaloosa Island condo for sale. So, be sure to check them out before time runs out!
