What You Need to Know Before Buying a Home
Posted on April 29, 2014
Spring is typically a season for growth and renewal. That said, flowers in bloom are not the only things we can expect to see. On average real estate inventory also begins to blossom in this warm season.
With more inventory comes an influx of potential homebuyers, often first-time homebuyers. If you are one of them, it may be time to prepare to secure the home you have always wanted.
It is not every day that you shop for a home, but when you do, it is best to have as much knowledge going in as possible. For instance, you will need to note the distinction between being pre-qualified for a loan and pre-approved. Pre-approval is more difficult to come by these days, but will help make sure your offer is heard quickly when the time comes. Another thing to keep in mind is that credit counts. Review your credit score early on and identify any erroneous entities. While you often cannot help a sometimes lower score, you can avoid lowering it further by not applying for additional credit or any major purchases.
No matter the experience, buying a home is a massive undertaking. While a little preparation will go a long way in your Emerald Coast real estate endeavor, consider contacting a RE/MAX Southern agent to help you finish the process.
